Sherri was an incredible support through out the pregnancy and delivery. As a first time mom I had no idea what to expect. We wanted a medication free, vaginal birth and Sherri did wonders at helping with pain management during 13+ hour of hard labor. I felt so empowered to be able to deliver our baby in the healthiest way possible for breastfeeding.
My experience with Sherri was wonderful!!! I took the decision to place my child for adoption before the birth, but I still wanted a peaceful home water birth with the adoptive parents present as they can't have a child on their own. I had my son on August 10th, 2017 and I am so grateful that Sherri was the one by my side holding my hand during labour and even while I was getting some stitches after I delivered. Sherri is a very calm and
very supportive doula. She encouraged me so well that I couldn't imagine going through those hours of labour without her.
Sherri and I have known each other for over 30 years. She is an amazing friend but an even better doula. When I got pregnant with my first son, there was no doubt in my mind who I wanted and needed to help me through this special time. My first labour was over 27 hours. It was hard, but through it all Sherri stayed with me and gave me the courage and the facts I needed to deliver a healthy son. Because of that
experience, Sherri was at each of my three subsequent home births. My days of having children are now over, but to anyone ready to bring new life into this world I say, "I highly recommend Sherri, because she is the best."
It is my pleasure to recommend Sherri as a qualified doula. She is compassionate and deeply committed to supporting other women in the childbearing years. I have known Sherri personally since we were young--over 35 years--, and as a friend she was the perfect choice to accompany me thru my pregnancies and the births of my three children. She was a great support to myself and my husband through
this amazingly beautiful time of bringing our children into this world. She had the knowledge and wisdom necessary to answer our questions and guide us through the steps necessary to accomplish this safely and responsibly. My years of having children are over, but to anyone ready to bring a new life into this world I would highly recommend Sherri as the perfect choice.
Having Sherri attend my VBAC was the best decision I made, because she truly made the difference that I needed to successfully give birth vaginally. Sherri was with me every step of the way and never left my side even though she deserved a break. Not only did she listen to my concerns but she also offered many different coping mechanisms. She gave me words of encouragement when I felt like I couldn't go on and
held my hands throughout each contraction. I will recommend her to anyone that I know and also seek for her attendance in my future births.
It was really great having Sherri to help us and be by our side. She met us prior to the delivery date, and advise and supported us. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. At the hospital, during the delivery, she helped and comforted us.
We would highly recommend to prospective mothers, and we wish her all the best.
Thank you, Sherri!!
My son Ben was born on June 8th, 2001. This was my first delivery, and it was a home birth. As any first time mother is, I was a bit anxious, nervous and scared. Sherri is an amazing Doula who brought so much calmness and professionalism during my 10-hour labor and delivery. She had such a calm demeanor which helped calm my nerves. She is extremely knowledgeable about all things labor, delivery and babies, and I can't imagine how different
my first home birth experience would've been without her there.
Thank you so much for your help and support during what turned out to be a difficult, but happy and healthy labour and delivery. Thank you again for being who you are and helping me through last night.
